Service Description

Summer solstice on December 21 is the time of the year resulting in the most amount of daylight time in a single day. Solstices mark the start of summer. Humans may have observed the summer solstice as early as the Stone Age. The word “solstice” comes from the Latin words “sol” (sun) and “stitium” (still or stopped). The ancients noticed that as summer progressed, the sun stopped moving northward in the sky, then begin tracking southward again as summer turned to autumn. The summer solstice was a day of cultural significance for many ancient civilisations, who marked it with magnificent festivals and celebrations. The Vikings were known to use the summer solstice, or "midsummer", as a time to convene and discuss legal matters and resolve disputes. They also visited wells believed to offer healing powers and built huge bonfires. There will be 3 gong players, 2 didgeridoo player and myself on the crystal bowls delivering high vibrations sounds to help us celebrate this summer solstice. Be well hydrated throughout the day and bring water to drink after. Experience the beauty of sound and let it bring you back to your center point of your being and help you to wake up to your true self.
